Events at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building

A variety of not-for-profit events are held in the community building and on the grounds.

One of the most popular annual events is Old Christmas. Held in early January (the first Saturday after the Epiphany), Old Christmas is local tradition that dates back 250 years. The event includes a traditional oyster roast, an oyster shoot, a chicken-and-pastry feast, music and dancing, and a visit from Old Buck.

Other events are organized by the Rodanthe Waves Salvo Civic Association, including Earth Day celebrations, a Thanksgiving pie sale and holiday tree lighting. For the full list of Civic Association events by clicking the button below.
